Abstract
The book here reviewed is an English version of a two-volume work in Swedish, Bank och industriellt genombrott, Stockholms Enskilda Bank kring sekelskiftet 1900 (vol. i, 1956; vol. ii, 1960). Very shortly after the publication of this English volume, the author, Dr. Olle Gasslander, died with tragic suddenness, at the age of 47, on 13 December 1962.
