Danish economic policy in the 1780s

Abstract

The years 1784-88 form one of the most eventful periods in the history of economic policy in Denmark. Despite a wealth of materials in the archives and a large volume of printed contemporary literature the period has been little studied with the exception of the land reform legislation. It is, therefore, most welcome that Hans ChT. ]ohansen of the University of Aarhus has launched his study of Danish economic policy since 1784 with the present volume under the title ‘Reform Years, 1784–88’.
