A quantitative study of emigration from Denmark to the United States, 1870–1913

Abstract

A comprehensive investigation of migration in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries was carried out in Scandinavia during the 1960s and 1970s. The work was undertaken partly in association with the Institute of American History at the University of Uppsala, partly at a series of seminars and conferences and partly in the form of independent projects.
