Abstract

Expert systems, a subset of artificial intelligence, have been used for educational purposes. Expert systems contain expert knowledge and provide decision support when experts are not available. The expert system described in this article was developed to train caregivers new to the area of dementia care in the management of vocally disruptive behaviors.
