It is with sadness that we remember David A. Peterson, a leader in the field of gerontology education. As director of the University of Southern California's school of education, he guided the development of the school's degree programs and was instrumental in the establishment of its doctoral program in gerontology, the first such program in the United States.
In remembering David A. Peterson we acknowledge his prodigious contributions to the field and likewise pledge our continued mission that Educational Gerontology assures relevance and quality in its dissemination of educational gerontology policy, practice, and research in its publications.
