Abstract
LLDPE/LDPE blend films were prepared using a Brabender extruder by melt blending and blowing. The research results indicated that addition of LDPE has no significant effect on the melting temperature of LLDPE, but the crystallinity as well as spherulite size of the blends decreases. In addition, with increasing content of LDPE, the tensile properties of blend films decline, on the contrary the tear strength enhances in a certain degree. The decrease of melt viscosity of the blends comparing with pure LLDPE suggests that LDPE could improve the melt rheological property of LLDPE.
