Abstract
For the region in the (β1, β1) plane bounded by β1 = 0, β2−1=0, β1=9, and the lognormal line, approximate formulas for the fundamental parameters, γ and δ, are given in terms of β1 and β1. The solution can be completed using simple quadrature formulas for the scale and location parameters, λ and ζ. The formulas can be implemented on small programmable calculators with accuracy sufficient for most practical purposes.
