Abstract

In this paper we provide a supplementary set of truncation numbers (n0) for δ*–values not studied in Bechhofer and Goldsman (1987). These are necessary to implement the truncated sequential selection procedure

. Performance characteristics are given for
used with the new n0–values.

A by–product of this study was the discovery of a remarkable and completely unexpected pattern among the estimated n0–values. The practical implications of this finding are indicated.
