Asymptotic properties of the spacings of kth records from discrete distributions

Abstract

We consider the sequences of kth records and weak kth records, respectively, derived from a sample of independent identically distributed discrete random variables. In the present paper, we discuss the asymptotic behavior of the spacings of kth records and weak kth records.
