Pages 23-31 | Published online: 18 May 2009

Abstract

Development of appropriate educational interventions for the elderly in the areas of communication and communication disorders requires an adequate data base concerning the knowledge and interests of older persons. This article presents survey data pertinent to these issues and highlights low levels of information and interest in further learning about communication topics within older respondent groups. Strategies needed for implementation of future educational programming are discussed.
