Ford's war on inflation: A metaphor that did not cross

Pages 284-297 | Published online: 02 Jun 2009

The metaphor failed to cross because it was not consistent with Ford's political commitments, because it was mis‐managed, and because rival metaphors diminished its potency and integrity.
