Abstract

The report presents results of a long term trial with varying N‐fertilizer levels on a lowland bog soil. Varying N‐fertilization during 35 years had no significant influence on specific soil conditions. Balance‐and trendcalculations show, that only 60% of the potassium, removed by plants, can be replaced by mineral fertilizers, but only in case of moderate N‐fertilization. The nutrient contents in plants and soil were not influenced negatively. P‐fertilization should be determined by P‐deprivation. Above all in the report the characteristics in the nutrient dynamic of lowland bog soils are explained.
