Summary

1.	Differencies of the Aiosa finta var. lacustris Fatio-populations in the insubric Lakes compared to Aiosa finta Cuv. have been stated owing to different signs.
2.	Identity exists in examined signs between the populations of the hydrographic neighbouring lakes Lago Maggiore and Lago di Lugano.
3.	Differencies have been stated between the populations of Lago Maggiore—Lago di Lugano and those of Lago di Como and Lago di Garda.
4.	These facts show an example for the formation of local races after the postglacial stabilisation of the hydrographic conditions.
5.	The degree of the differencies seems to be essentially influenced by the measure of existing geographic isolation.
