L'Omble-Chevalier du Léman et son introduction dans les eaux françaises de Montagne

Resumé

Une étude biométrique de Salvelinus alpinus L. est présentée, en prenant pour type l'Omble Chevalier du lac Léman. Chaque poisson a fait l'objet de 17 mesures. Dix-sept rapports ont été calculés sur 230 animaux du Léman, provenant de deux populations distinctes. Des populations provenant des lacs d'Annecy, de Neuchâtel et Jovet sont rapidement comparées à celles du Léman. Il y a adaptation au milieu, les animaux vivant dans des eaux pauvres en nourriture gardant leur aspect juvénile, leur croissance étant ralentie dès le plus jeune âge.

Des conclusions sont données concernant l'utilisation technique des résultats ci-dessus (aménagement piscicole des lacs de montagne).

Le problème du repeuplement des lacs surexploités est alors abordé. Il y a un seuil d'efficacité des déversements qu'il faut dépasser largement et continuellement pour que la pisciculture d'espèces à faible résilience soit efficace.

Summary

A biometrical study of Salvelinus alpinus L. of Lake Léman is presented. Each fish was measured seventeen times. Seventeen ratios are calculated on 230 animals from Lake Léman, coming from two distinct populations.

Populations from Lakes “d'Annecy”, “de Neudiâtel” and “Jovet” are quickly compared with those from Lake Léman. There is adaptation to the biotope, animals living in water poor in nutrients keeping their juvenile aspects, their growth being retarded from their youngest age.

Conclusions are given concerning the technical utilisation of the results cited above (fish management of mountain lakes), and the problem of stocking overfished lakes is then considered. There is a threshold of efficacy of the plantings which must be exceeded greatly und continually in order that a good stock of a species with low resistance be maintained.
