Zusammenfassung
Summary
1. | The part of 6% of heterotrophically fixed CO2 in the biomass of aquatic bacteria gives in principle the possibility for the calculation of the heterotrophic production from the CO2-darkfixation.
2. | It is demonstrated, that the percent part can considerably vary, especially in the case of offer of a greater quantity of dissolved organic substances and intensive metabolism. It is therefore doubtful wether it is legitimate to calculate with a uniform value of 6%.
3. | Because the percent part in CO2,-darkfixation of algae and bacteria is unknown a separation of both, algae and bacteria, is needed. A quantitative separation, however, in most cases is impossible.
4. | It is proposed to apply enzymatic mechanisms for the determination of the heterotrophic production. Phosphoenolpyruvat (PEP)-Carboxylases seem to be appropriate to these calculations. |
