Elevage et maturation de géniteurs brochets en petits étangs

Résumé

Des essais ont été tentés à la pisciculture expérimentale de Linkebeek (Bruxelles) en vue de réaliser l'élevage et d'obtenir la maturation sexuelle de géniteurs brochets (Esox lucius L.) éleves en petits étangs. Durant plusieurs années consécutives, on à régulièrement obtenu la maturation de 15 femelles au moins sur 18, dormant 250.000 à 350.000 oeufs, ce qui représente une production d'environ 20.000 à 30.000 oeufs par are (100 m²). La maturation est obtenue par réglage de la température entre 9 et 10° C. On n'a pas recours à l'hypophysation.

Summary

Experiments have been made at the research station of Linkebeek (Belgium) with the aim of obtaining growth and sexual maturation of pike (Esox lucius L.) brood fish in small ponds. Over a period of several consecutive years, maturation of at least 15 female pike out of 18 have been regularly obtained. They produced 250.000 to 350.000 eggs which also represented approximatly a production of 20.000 to 30.000 eggs per are (100 m²). Maturation is obtained by regulation of temperature between 9 and 10° C. Hypophysation is not used.
