Summary
In order to find the most suitable method for Doñana sediments, four different schemes for the fractionation of sedimentary P (Williams et al. 1976, Hieltjes & Lijklema 1980, Golterman & Booman 1988, Golterman's Citric Acid method, pers. comm.) were tested. Both a natural Doñana sediment sample and a mixture of four P components (algae, gardening humus and synthetic CaCO3 ≈ P and Fe(OOH) ≈ P) were analyzed as well as the single components.
