Observations on Low Solubility Earthenware Glazes

Pages 189-202 | Published online: 26 Aug 2014

Abstract

Two series of 15 and 13 glaze compositions each, were tried on low temperature and high temperature, biscuited wares of two types of earthenware bodies. One earthenware body was made with talc as an ingredient and the other without it. The suitability of these glazes was studied with special reference to their lead solubility.
