Abstract
The systems, talc-kaolin and forsterite-kaolin show a typical liquid phase sintering behaviour. Densification and microstructure studies on the systems talc-kaolin and forsterite-kaolin show that the rate of densification is controlled by diffusion through liquid film between particles. Experimental measurements are in reasonable agreement with theoretical predictions.
