ABSTRACT

We examined the viscera of three individuals of Echymipera kalubu (Marsupialia: Peramelidae) from Arso, Papua, Western New Guinea, and revealed the presence of a species not previously reported from Indonesia, Spirura aurangabadensis (Ali & Lovekar, 1966) (Nematoda: Spiruridae). The morphology of the species was studied using a light microscope and a scanning electron microscope and is described herein along with a zoogeographical discussion.
