Linguistic Activities in roumania during the second world war

Pages 110-112 | Published online: 09 Dec 2011

Abstract

In spite of all the sufferings which the War brought to Roumania, scientific activities fortunately never ceased completely. They were handicapped, it is true, in more than one way, and not only by the lack of communication with other countries. Though the war passed over this country, Roumanian linguistics have not to regret losses by casualities among their scholars. The valuable Revue des Études Indo-Européennes unfortunately ceased to appear in 1943.
