SUMMARY

A mission organized by the Zoological Institute of the University of Florence in 1964 gives us the opportunity of pursuing and completing the ornithological studies which we started in 1962 in the Somali Republic (ex-Italian part). During this new mission more northerly and more southerly zones of this territory were investigated, stressing the subdesertic or forest character of their respective avifauna. The collected material was studied by both natural regions and systematic order.
