RICERCHE SUL LITORALE DELLA SOMALIA. POPOLAMENTO POLICHETOLOGICO DELLE COSTE SOMALE

RIASSUNTO

Questa nota è un compendio delle ricerche effettuate sui Policheti delle coste equatoriali somale nel corso di diversi anni di campionamenti. In differenti ambienti del mesolitorale inferiore e dell'infralitorale superiore, sono state riscontrate 129 specie, variamente distribuite negli ambienti esaminati. Viene anche fornito un elenco delle specie rinvenute da altri Autori, agli inizi del secolo, nella Somalia francese.

SUMMARY

This study summarizes the results of many years of research on the polychaetous annelids of Somalia's equatorial coasts. In the different habitats of the inferior mesolittoral and the superior infralittoral 129 species variously distributed were found. Furthermore a list of species collected by other authors at the beginning of the century in French Somaliland is here reported.
