Abstract
The present status of the theory and technique of correlation analysis as developed from two groups of techniques, each of which is related to time-series work and communication engineering, are described briefly. The system design of an electronic correlator using magnetic drum delay device, based upon the theory and techniques discussed, is presented. The physical factors regarding the design requirements of the component parts required to perform the ma6thematical manipulations necessary for auto-correlation or cross-correlation computations have been discussed to arrive at the practical design.
