ABSTRACT
The manual adjustment required for allowing for variations of PRF in the hard tube PRF multiplier previously reported has been made automatic by using a frequency sensing system. This consists of a suitable combination of an a.c. coupled gate, a diode clamp and a Miller integrator using a cathode follower which feeds to a rectifier. Although the circuit described is for the PRF doubler only, an indication is given of how the principles emerging out from this could be utilized for obtaining an n th order multiplication of the PRF. Also, a use of the circuit is described whereby it acts with minor adjustments as a generator of simulated input pulse with a delay (with reference to the input) which is any desired fraction of the varying pulse recurrence time of the regularly recurrent input.
