The Transistorized Channelling Equipment

ABSTRACT

This paper deals with the channelling equipment which is the basic 12-channel building block for large capacity carrier telephone systems. The design criteria for the various functional units, the synthesis of some of the elements and the use of transistors have been discussed. Equipment based on these considerations has been designed in the Telecommunication Research Centre of the Posts and Telegraphs Department and is in production in the Indian Telephone Industries. The details of construction adopted have also been dealt with.
