ABSTRACT
The statistical analyser described below measures the cumulative amplitude distribution of waveforms by a single measurement.
The waveform to be analysed is first sampled by a chain of square wave pulses produced by a sampling waveform generator. The sampled waveform is then gated at twenty independent gating levels. The gated output pulses from these channels are individually counted. The amplitude distribution of the waveform is determined from the number of counts registered by each channel.
