ABSTRACT
The paper describes the limitations of an astable multivibrator for covering long periods with wide, smooth and independent control over mark to space ratio, and suggests a method for overcoming them. Periods as long as 200 sec. with a maximum mark to space ratio of 22 and an accuracy better than 1 per cent are achieved. The circuit displays good stability even at 50°C.
