ABSTRACT
This paper gives design details and experimental results obtained on an L-band negative resistance parametric amplifier in the frequency range 1250–1350 kMc/s. The amplifier gave a noise figure of 2 db. with a gain better than 17 db. The instantaneous bandwidth was 4 Mc/s. The amplifier is tunable from 1250 to 1350 kMc/s. by tuning the idler frequency cavity.
