ABSTRACT

The variation of the drift and anisotropy parameters of the ionospheric irregularities with true height of reflection during magnetically disturbed conditions has been studied using the correlation method. The results indicated that in the height range of 300–324 km. the irregularities are highly anisotropic with large random motions. It is suggested that this height range mignt be possible location of intense ionospheric irregularities causing spread F and radio star scintillations.
