Abstract
Results of horizontal drift of the irregularities in the night time F region of the ionosphere over Ahmedabad are presented in this paper. Average drift speed of the irregularities is of the order of 65 M/s. The most probable direction of drift is towards south east.
Irregularities seem to show considerable elongation and are found to align themselves in the direction NNE.
Size of the irregularities is found to be larger than the wavelength of the radio waves used for the investigations.
