Abstract

Stripline Y-junction circulators in S-band (below resonance operation) have been designed and fabricated in DLRL utilizing broad band matching techniques. One such device operates in the frequency range 2·7 GH-4·0 GHz, with minimum isolation 18 db., maximum VSWR 1·25 and maximum forward loss 0·3 db., giving 40 per cent bandwidth. This paper presents the technical design considerations and the optimum performance characteristics of the S-band circulator.
