Abstract
The development of nickel matrix cathode (the bariated cathode) has been given in detail. The test diode structure and the design of the heater are also given. The emission current values of this particular type of cathode have been measured. One particular composition and structure for the cathode has been evolved. Cathode pellets of any shape and dimension can be fabricated with the given composition of the cathode material to give more electron emission.
