Radar Transponder for Tracking Centaure Rocket

Abstract

In the present communication the authors have given the salient features of the S-band (2·7–2·9 GHz) pulsed radar transponder developed for obtaining complete trajectory of the Centaure Rocket by the ground based cotal radar at Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station (TERLS), Thumba. The skin track as well as the transponder aided track data obtained for Centaure rocket using cotal radar have also been included.
