Abstract
The operational amplifier has a vast number of applications not only in analogue computation but in instrumentation, control systems and as comparators in digital circuits as well. The need exists for a low cost amplifier which has adequate performance for such applications and particularly for use in small size desk—top analogue computers used for training and for preliminary design and simulation studies.
The paper describes such an amplifier built with devices and components presently produced in the country. The amplifier does not require any temperature control and the specifications of the amplifier are on par with those of a popular vacuum tube operational amplifier which is not provided with drift stabilization.
