Abstract
The Bremsstrahlung radiation from electron-atom collisions in weakly ionized plasma has been considered as a source of electromagnetic waves. The dispersive effect of the ambient plasma on the emission of electromagnetic waves has been studied. The solution of Boltzmann transport equation with collision term has been used to evaluate the emission coefficient for the laboratory plasma. The total electromagnetic wave power in the frequency range ωp<ω<10ωp has been calculated. The effect of the energy of in—coming electrons and the pressure of the ambient plasma on the emission characteristics has been studied.
