Abstract
In this correspondence a negative resistance circuit, topologically different from the negative resistance circuits proposed so far, has been presented. This configuration can operate without any internal bias supplies and can be used both as a floating and as a grounded negative resistor. Within the operating constraints, the circuit displays an open circuit stable type or S-type characteristic and is potentially stable. It is possible to fabricate this circuit as an integrated module.
The results of the sensitivity and stability analysis of the proposed circuit has been given in full details here.
