Abstract
The paper describes a complementary switch, the operation of which is controlled by a single timing network, along with bistable multivibrator for generating rectangular pulses having very sharp rise and fall times and periods as long as 1000 sec. with wide, smooth and independent control over on-off periods/duty cycle. Accuracy better than one per cent is achieved. The circuit shows much less dependence on power supply variation and considerable loading capabilities for resistive loads.
