Abstract
The paper describes in detail the reliability problems of the electronic equipments and mentions some methods to achieve and evaluate it. Though the paper is written with particular reference to the defence equipments, by and large it is applicable to various professional equipments where high reliability is a pre-requisite.
It gives background information which may not be generally available with all design and production agencies. It goes on to describe the concepts of reliability, factors affecting reliability and various environmental tests necessary to judge these parameters.
