Abstract
In many particle experiments, pulse height analysis is usually carried out to derive the energy information of the incident particle or photon. A new method wherein the pulse amplitude information of each of the incident random pulses is stored till the arrival of the next pulse thus producing a histogram type output is described in this paper. The analog hold circuit described here shows a linearity from 0·3 to 7 V and has a frequency response up to 10 kc/s.
