A New Approach to Find the Product of Matrices

Pages 341-344 | Received 19 May 1973, Published online: 11 Jul 2015

Abstract

In this paper a short, time saving method for obtaining chain product of any number and order of conformable matrices is suggested. The method can be used for obtaining any element or the complete resultant matrix as desired. As the problem of connecting number of networks active or passive in cascade and then obtaining overall current gain, voltage gain and transfer impedance or admittance is similar to obtaining the chain product of conformable matrices, and knowing one particular element of the resultant matrix, the method would serve as better alternative to graphical methods for the study of transmission systems and electronic circuits.
