Abstract

Turnstile and helical antennas are used for obtaining elliptically and circularly polarized radiation. The former is to be fed with equal constant currents in phase quadrature and the latter has to maintain constant current along its length. Because of the complexities involved in obtaining such current feeds these methods are subject to difficulties. In this paper an alternative method of obtaining the polarized radiation based on the theory of travelling wave circular loop antenna is described.
