Abstract
Printed inductors are exceedingly useful at UHF and VHF frequencies. The quality factor, Q of a printed inductance is a function of the base material, geometry of the coil, surface finish of the conductive foil and quality of etching. This paper discusses the effect of these factors on the Q of printed inductances with the help of experimental results.
