Broadside Linear Array Using Discrete Gaussian Current Distribution

Abstract

A new method is suggested for the excitation of a linear array, in which the elements are fed in phase and current amplitudes are given by discrete Gaussian distribution function. This method gives a good compromise between the side lobe level and the beam width by varying the standard deviation of the function.
