Abstract
A micron comparator with indigenous material has been fabricated. The voltage to frequency and then frequency to digital conversion technique has been used. With the transducer fabricated, an accuracy upto 0.1 micron can be achieved. The instrument developed is a very sensitive one. It shows the measurement in digital form. The numeric readings indicate a direct measurement of finished job surface.
