Abstract
Computer Science deals with information in as much as Physics deals with energy. As Physics deals with energy-transforming devices, Computer Science deals with information transforming devices. The principal enquiries are—effective ways to represent information, effective algorithms to transform information, effective languages to represent these algorithms and effective ways and means to monitor this process and display the so-transformed information. A typical approach to Computerized Information Systems is presented. By defining input, output and control aspects suitably, it can be tailored to specific applications in the medical field.
