Abstract
In planning a satellite broadcasting system for any country many parameters and constraints have to be considered. In this paper, an attempt has been made to discuss the basic parameters in planning such a system. Based on these discussions, an example of a broadcast system applicable to a country such as Indonesia, is worked out in detail.
