Abstract
The details and operation of a slow speed card reader evolved by modifying a card verifier by the addition of suitable hardware are described. The hardware provides the option for using the same machine as a reader or verifier at a time. The possibility of converting a card punch as a reader has also been brought out.
The indigenous availability of card punchers/verifiers will enable conversion of such machines at a nominal cost.
