Electrical Switching in Germanium-Tellurium Films

Abstract

Electrical switching was obtained in thin films of 85 % Tellurium and 15 % Germanium. The films were deposited on quartz substrates under vacuum (10−° torr) using co-deposition technique. Silver was used for making contacts. The off-resistance was 23 MQ and the on resistance 0.22 KQ.
