Co-operative Optical Pulse Compression

Pages 578-580 | Received 17 Jan 1975, Published online: 11 Jul 2015

Optical Barker codes have been described earlier. Whereas higher discrimination can be obtained using optical Barker codes than many other generalizations of the Barker sequences, the lengths required tend to be very high. The required lengths can be reduced by the use of the concept of multi-channel pulse compression.
